Research Triangle Park Support Group
A support group for people with allergies, including Chemical Sensitivity.
 
The Triangle Allergy Support Group will meet on the second Sunday in June,
June 13, at 3:00pm at the Durham Wellspring Restaurant, 621 Broad St.,
Durham, at the intersection of Main and Broad Streets in Durham. We've had
to move from our Chapel Hill meeting place because the business that was
sponsoring us is moving. The purpose of the group is to provide
information and support for people with allergies and chemical sensitivity.

Chapel Hill resident Margaret Hazen will speak about her seven-year
experience with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,
which includes her coming to a good understanding of the underlying problems
causing her symptoms as well as different strategies to recover her health,
including seeing Dr. John Pittman at the Carolina Center in Raleigh and
building a nontoxic home, herbal remedies and organic gardening.

DIRECTIONS

>From Chapel Hill and other locations west of Durham::
Take (Interstate 40 to) Hwy. 15-501 heading toward Durham. As you
approach South Square Mall, get on the 15-501 Bypass heading north. From
15-501 Bypass take the exit for Hwy. 147, Durham Expressway; stay on the
Expressway for a good long while until you get to the Swift Ave./Broad St.
Exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn away from Swift St. and toward the
railroad tracks, Broad St., and 9th St. Your first large stoplight will be
at the intersection of Main St. and Broad St. Go straight through the
stoplight and Wellspring will be the second business on your left.

>From Raleigh and other locations east of Durham::
Get on Interstate 40 headed toward Durham. As you approach Durham, take
the exit for Hwy. 147 North, the Durham Expressway. Stay on the Expressway
as you pass Durham city limiits, exits for Alston Ave, Duke St., Chapel
Hill Rd., etc., until you come to the exit for Swift Ave./Broad Street. At
the end of the exit ramp, turn away from Swift Ave. and toward the railroad
tracks, Broad St., and 9th St. Go straight through the first large
intersection, the intersection of Main and Broad streets. Wellspring will
be the second business on your left.
Anyone who has allergies or Chemical Sensitivity is interested is invited to attend.
 
You are asked to wear no perfumes and be free of tobacco smoke odors.

The purpose of the group is to provide information and support for people with all types of allergies, including chemical, food, and inhalant, as well as allergy-related problems, such as candida.
